2012 XLT issues... help!

Hello all, I've been lurking for a bit, figured I would bite the bullet and make a post and see what happens. So many knowledgeable people here.

This is on a 2012 XLT 4WD, it's got about 139,000kms on it.

- Ford Sync screen reboots for maintenance continuously. This happens occasionally. So it could be fine for a few days, but then on one drive it will reboot and do "maintenance"... then a few minutes later, it does the same, over and over. Took it to Ford dealer, their solution was to reinstall the software. Problem persists. Anyone seen this happen? What was your solution?

I'm well out of warranty at this point. I did have the APIM replaced under a service bulletin when the screen failed altogether. Since then this issue has been happening.

Welcome to the Forum.
The usual cause for the "Performing System Maintenance" is that MFT is rebooting in an attempt to correct an issue it has detected. Have you tried a 'System Reset'. See this first before trying it.

No guaranty it will improve the situation but it's a place to start without having to replace anything.
