2012 xlt no wipers

I only have my suspicions. I bought this vehicle with 40k on it so it was just outside the bumper to bumper. I'm the third owner so my suspicion is that it was either just before warranty expire that a dealer didn't want to pay or just after and the owner didn't want to pay. If the story I got of who the owner was before me is true then the average miles would have been putting this problem roughly 32k miles due the cold weather causing the problem to show. At that mileage who wouldn't use the warranty? I put in an inquiry in to ford to see if they have records. I know they have all your data at the dealer specivic so we will see. If at worst if they do find a dealer did it, and they won't honor some kind of make it right, I just hope the dirty dealer gets some kind of ford reprimand. Half assing a fix like this could have caused a severe injury.
Although I'm not positive, I think any dealer can pull up the service history on your vehicle regardless of which dealer serviced it. I think everything comes down to the VIN. If warranty work is approved, costs are covered by Ford, not the dealer.

Or - one of the prior owners did something stupid to the fuse block.

Maybe you'll get lucky and someone documented when the problem first was occurring.

Either way, your options are sort of limited.

Yep pretty much. We will see what we find out tomorrow.

So I was able to have a dealership track the warranty status of the problem and apparently this was in the garage at 10k miles for the same problem. Trying to get a hold of Ford customer service to advise me of any options I have and that seems to be a trying affair. From what I gather this was a vehicle that was purchased in and around Philadelphia, PA and the windshield wiper problem was logged at a dealer in Lebanon, NH. I'm not sure if they were just under a time frame cause the owner at the time was on vacation or what. Still trying to get in touch with the former owner but that has proven problematic as the dealership I purchased from aren't being helpful unless they are proving it wasn't their fault. If anybody has any input to help that would be great. This is a new situation for me.
