My 2013 xlt non ecoboost I noticed blows really cold air in the passenger front vents. Has anybody else experienced anything like this or know how much it will cost to fix? it has 40k miles on the odo so it is no longer under warranty.

how is the air coming from the driver's vents? You could have an issue with the 'Blend Door Actuator' and there is a thread and TSB on that.

Peter could you point me in the direction of that thread? Would it affect all vents? Even when I have the rear air set to max heat it still feels cooler

I found the TSB thread, but it appears the TSB is only for 2011 explorers?

Using the forum's 'Search' feature it seems that there are a few threads that mention issues regarding the one side hot and other side cold. None go through the procedure as to how to repair it.

I found all of those threads but those are all regarding 2011 explorers, I can't find anything for any later model explorers

I doubt anything has changed regarding the later models. Perhaps someone else with more knowledge about the system can chime in.

I have a 2013 Ford Explorer XLT dual climate control when heat is on the vent mode Heat blowing out the drive side and AC on the passenger side

Welcome to the Forum.
That is usually an indication of an issue with the blend door or blend door actuator on the passenger side.
