2013 Ford PIU
Hello! I have a FPIU and have been reading through multiple posts made on this website regarding this issue but i can’t seem to find one that’s helping me out. I have a 2013 FPIU and i am trying to program a key fob. Now my vehicle enters programming mode but i can’t see to get the car to accept the fobs themselves. i’ve tried 3 different key fobs and nothing seems to work. I have a RFA module in the center console which came with car when i purchased it but i doubt the RFA is for this vehicle specifically. I saw a connector that is for the RFA under the center console and it seems to have power (tested with a multimeter) So basically i have everything (i think) i need to program a key fob. yet it doesn’t work. Is there something i need to do in forscan?

I cannot say for certain, but I beleive dark car mode can interfere with programming fobs. Use forscan to disable dark car if enabled and then try again. What center console do you have? The TPMS module under the radio is also what receives signals from remote fobs. Make sure it is plugged in.

I have the tpms module connected and it’s the civilian console, so it’s behind the rear ac controls in the CC. I’m not sure how to test the wires to see if it’s receiving any type of power but i do know it’s there and plugged in. i’ve actually watched your videos on YT and for some reason when i test the wires to the tpms im getting 2.40 in 2 wires and 0.00 on the other 2. so im not sure where to go from there.
