Driving home to Chicago from Florida the end of last month, my 2015 Sport started missing under load and acceleration, cruised just fine. Put in premium gas and a fuel injector cleaner and that seemed to stop the missing, but still no power. No codes showed up. Took it to the dealer this week and they found a loose hose clamp on the turbo outlet. Tightened it up and all is now back to normal. Just a thought.

Loose hoses were a fairly common issue with the Ecoboosts in the first couple years.

Hello everyone, my name is Mark user name oldfartracing. I recently bought an 2013 Explorer fwd with a 3.7L V6 on auction. Driving home you could notice a jerking when accelerating and would seem to go away mostly at steady speeds or flooring it. After changing all the plugs and swapping all the coil packs, injectors, intake and Mass air flow sensor from a donor car the problem still existed. At that point my friend Brandon Hastings who I refer to as The Crown Vic Whisperer said he thinks it could be the torque converter causing it. I picked up a brand new one and he installed it today and guess what? It fixed the problem. It drives as smooth as it should! Kudos Brandon!
