2013 Traction Control

We just got our first snow/ice of the season so I thought I'd go play with my Ex. I noticed that I can't seem to get traction control to kick in. I've verified its on in the settings and I've tried all the different 4x4 modes but no luck. I'll get the TC light when the stability system kicks in (trying to fishtale) but in a straight line you can get it to just spin without TC kicking in. Does this sound like a problem with my TC system or is this just the way this vehicle works? ABS also seems to be working fine.

Well after posting this I went for another ride and really got on it this time and did get it to work. I came from a Subaru which had a very touchy TC system that would turn on at any sign of slippage so maybe this car just takes more to get it to turn on.

On a side note I was very impressed with the snow mode on our glazed over streets
