2013 XLT: "Upgrade" chrome front grille to body color

Hi folks,

First post here, wifey just picked up a 2013 XLT. Has 20" wheels and is basically a Limited apart from the Sony.

Anyway the one tting that bugs me i guess is the chrome nose. I have done a quick search of this forum already but nothing clear. Is changing out the chrome nose for a self-color (black in this case) an option? Anyone done it?

You can certainly swap it out with a black one, but right now it is showing a cost of $450+. You might look at some of the threads about PlastiDip and explore that route for ~$10

yeah tried that with the faux gas cap on my 2011 mustang. Didn't work out so well lol
