Not sure if it's just pictures, but it seems like the bumper on the Ranger X sticks out really far.

On another note, I'm glad I just ordered a XLT. I was afraid I was going to really miss having the Lariet LED's, but from all these pics I think it's cleaner.

@Stic-o I really like the bumpers on the White and Silver/Black trucks.

Yeah the bed bar was inspired by the Colorado. All we are missing is a new episode of Walker Texas Ranger with one of the trucks haha

I really like the new front end with any aftermarket bumper. Also I can agree with the xlt vs led trim headlights. It's like the headlights aren't tall enough to add the led strip.

Ten speed auto trans? Jesus. I wonder if they will come with a v8 option instead if just the 2.3 Ecoboost.

The ten speed is a variant of the F150 transmission, so it's well proven.

You won't see a V8 in the Ranger. Officially there are no plans for any other engine options, but the 2.7 or maybe even the 3.5 might be possible. Honestly, there's no real need. The 2.3 eco already makes more power and torque than any previous Ranger engine (by a large margin), and the torque curve is board flat from just off idle all the way to near redline. Very, very impressive engines.

The 3.5L would be a beast. I drove an F150 SuperCrew with that engine and it was a blast.

Wait to you see the Ranger Raptor
I thought I read in Ford Authority that the Ranger Raptor will not be coming to the North America market at this time.

That's correct. The official word for now is that we will not get it.

The new Ranger is very nice...but im with @roscoe 0202 - Bring out the Bronco!

Nice to know that Ford still makes a good looking truck!

You should see the new Bronco at NAIAS, based on the conversation we had with one of their people at the plant event last Monday
