We're very interested in the Grand Design Serenova 160LG travel trailer, however, it's hitch weight is 589lbs. Our Explorer's max tongue weight is 560lbs. Is there a way we can somehow increase our tongue weight to accommodate this travel trailer? Anyone hear of a Fastway e2 w/sway control? Would this system work? Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
I have seen hitches like this used to take the tongue weight off the the tow vehicle. With this setup you only have to be concerned by the total weight that you are pulling.
I have never used one, not can I attest to it's safety.
