I think that looks pretty damn good! They don't look to... Whatever. The style is nice and clean though and does not look to gheto.

I wonder what the ride quality ls like in that??

On his site he says "no rub", I have SERIOUS doubts about that being true.

he got some rubber band tires on there, IMO thats just kinda stupid, if he hits a little bump or anthing theres not enough stiffness or sidewall to protect the rim and it has to ride like crap. Plus I think those rims are kinda ugly and don't work well with an Explorer. I agree with Hartman, considering most people rub with 20's on an Ex, those 22's are definitley going to rub.

Yeah, those 22's dont work with an explorer expecially since there's NOTHING ELSE DONE TO IT!!!

OK, I am not a street guy, so you guys can ignore me..............but that thing seems to have about the same wheel-well clearance as a stock X, which defeats the purpose right? One point of the streeter look is to fill the wheel-wells right? It looks like he put a bit of lift on that thing (prolly to help the rubbing) and now he has a lot of well gap. For a streeter, it looks way too high, which he can't get any lower cause his wheel/tire combo is too big. I respect nice looking streeters, but that thing just doesn't look very good to me.

Well, if I'm thinking correctly here...

He's got a 22" rim and lets just say, for argument sake, there is 2" of sidewall. That would make the OD 26" which is smaller than the stock 29" OD, Correct?

the other thing is as far as i know that guy doesn't actally run those rims on that x. i heard he borrowed them from a friend for a test fit and took some pictures... maybe i'm wrong and he later bought them and actually uses them, but thats what i heard a while ago on the EU.

also, the rims are phat! but they aren't the right ones for an explorer and they definitely don't look right on a stock explorer. there is too much of a contrast between the rest of the truck and the rim. besides those rims are worth almost as much as the truck...

So who is going to be the first to put the 28s on their Ex?

I have seen that explorer in person, and it looks good trust me, I dont think he borrowed the wheels and took pics, unless the guy let him use the wheels for a NOPI car show in atlanta too..if hes got the right size tires on there, its gunna be the same exact size as the stock tire. It just looks weird cause there is more gound clearence cause of the larger wheels..

if he has the right tire size then the ground clearance hasn't changed either...

Anyone know what size tire he has?

Well, with that size tire its only 0.2" smaller than stock. It does look like there is more ground clearence but the wheel gap is normal looking. Maybe its because there are no running boards and I'm used to mine being lowered.

I wouldn't mind having my rims in 20 or 22 inch sizes!

haha yeah. In fact why dont you just get 24" rims and not even put tires on it! that way you dont ever have to worry about getting a flat, and it will look super cool! No more rotating and balancing tires! The ride would be great too because although a little bumpy you will get all the hot girls like they did in the fast and the furious.

So you take this truck out and crank some high speed turns. The truck leans over a bit, the tiny bit of sidewall deflects and you are now scraping your pretty rims on the road. Makes sense to me:confused:
