255/70r16 vs. 265/75r16 on '99 EB

Hi everyone. I just got a great deal on a '99 Eddie Bauer. It still has stock tires, 255/70r16 and I want some info if I can put 265/75r16 on stck wheels with stock suspension. Is this possible or am I just dreaming? Thanks, Mike

They will rub unless you can trim like a madman. I went with a 265/70/16 and under compression they rub the wells(stock suspension). I know most people can easily run a 265/75/16 with a tt and shackles... or a body lift.

At stock ride height: no.
I run a simple TT and shackles for 2” with AT 265/75R16 and I still had to do light trimming, but that’s mostly because of the very aressive tread.

The torsion twist and shackle extenders can be done in about hour with parts avalible at local parts store for under $50 f you really wanted to make them fit.
