If you read my signature, you'll see that my '96 2wd Explorer sport is a "sport truck." I recently got ran off the road, smacked the curb and messed up 2 of my rims and tires. When I get them replaced I am considering selling them and going back to my roots: off road tires.
My question is this, if I do the torsion twist (H-rated) and 153 shackle, will I be able to clear 265/70R17 BFG KO's on 17x8 wheels? This is the same size as a 265/75R16 that many of you run, but it seems that most of you use the stock wheels. I guess the question is more about what backspacing would be required.
By the way, I'm not looking for off road performance at all. I've been there and done that in my Jeep. Thanks for the replies.
