I had the pass side rear wheel arch 'repaired' a few years back but its already come back through and needless to say the tires have caught the body once or twice and made it worse.

Did some searching but wasnt able to find much info on repairing or modifying the rear wheel wells on a 2 dr. Anyone have any ideas/pics/suggestions? Really I am looking into opening the rear up a little more but not sure what all I can do without it looking like a huge hack job.

Thanks!

Depends how much it's catching and what you're after for the final product.

If it's just scraping ever so slightly, you could probably just roll the very inner lip of the metal fender and it'd give the needed clearance. However, the plastic flares stick in even more than the metal fender, so you'd need to remove those and cut away the inside edge so it doesn't stick in more than the rolled metal fender.

If a little bit isn't enough, you can always roll more, even the entire inner metal lip, but of course the plastic flares have the mounts for the screws in the lip, so if you roll the entire lip, you either do away with the flares or find some other flares or other way of mounting them.

As for the rust hole and damage, that's just a matter of cutting off the rust, cutting a piece of sheet metal to fill it, and tack welding it over a period of time so it doesn't get the area too hot. Take your time and do a good enough job and you can just grind down any excess and just use some nice rust preventative paint inside and out, sand and prime and cover it with paint to match everything else and you're done.
