Anyone replaced 2nd and 3rd row 168's with LED's? If so, how did you do it?

Bohunkl, look for CDN's posting on LEDS, don't know if anyone has done the third row, but I ordered his parts numbers for the interior lites, should be here soon, he also has a great DIY

CDN changed out the 2nd row with a sunroof. I'd like to do the 2nd (and 3rd) row without sunroof. I'm hesitant to "pry" the light fixture and break something. Was hoping someone had done this, but thanx for the CDN link.

I actually just did this yesterday. Following CDN's direction was pretty straightforward. To remove the 3rd row light, pry down at the edge opposite of the side with the on/off switch (closest to front of Explorer). It will pop right out. When you get it down however, you will notice it is NOT replaceable. The third row light is already LED, but it is not white. It has a hint of yellow to match the other incandescents.

An issue I have noticed after doing this, my 3rd row lamp will not turn off if I use the dashboard button to turn on the interior lighting. Has anyone else experienced this? It's pretty annoying and a potential battery killer.

There is a thread in the other section that tells you how to turn this light off.
