If you still have the IFS front axle and you are running 35 inch tires; then I want to hear from you and would like to see some pictures.

I'm debating whether to go with 35s or stick to 33s. I have a superlift with coilover conversion. I'm sure then will fit, but i'm worried about up travel clearance as I do like to wheel quite a bit when I can get out there.

With that said, what are your suggestions?
Could I see some pics you have any?
I do have 4.56 gears, but was the IFS D35 really built to handle 35s?
How many hub assemblies have you gone through since the 35s were put on?

Answers to any/all of these questions are appreciated. Or links to subject matter is fine too...I've searched non stop for months and will probably continue to do so.

Thanks!

I've ran 35's and had no issues, just the normal ball joints and wheel bearings wearing out.. I have stuffed them a couple of times into the fenders. Oh, and I still have 4.10 gears.
I have 2.5" of suspension lift, with the TT and shackles along with 4dr. leaf pack. Also a 3" BL.
Here's my whole thread with pics. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267303

Thanks for thanks for the quick response, I will be sure to check out your build. And if the only thing I have to look forward to is ball joints and wheel bearings; i think i can deal with that.

And the fact that I probably wont fit in the parking garage at work anymore!

Yah, you most likely won't fit, I don't fit anywhere since I have the safari roof rack.

I´ve had 38"s since 2008 with no problems at all. Granted I do not rockclimb much and drive mostly on snow when offroading:

This is just with 4" bodylift and longer shackles in the back.

Oh believe me I've seen your truck; that thing is sick! Welll done on that build, and me fitting 35s seems like no problem after seeing your rig.

I switched to all HD Prograde suspension components for the 35" MT's and haven't had a problem yet with them. I wheel the rig hard too. (check the sticky in the 95-01 modified)

I also run Timkin Hubs and have gone thru a couple in the last couple years. I carry a couple spares, and am prepared to swap them out if need be.

My D35 is geared with 4.56 and is locked to boot, plus I also run coil overs. You will be fine, the only issue is weak R&P steering with the 35".

Thanks gmanpaint. I think i'm not as hesitant any more on this up size. Next summer I will be going to 35s. Or sooner...

I have no problems replacing hubs. I can do them in the dark now, and have. And i do have the HD suspension components, so that is extra reassurance, as you are running it too.

But I was looking at the uniball control arms from airbagit.com. They are for lifted trucks. I've searched and it doesn't look like anyone is running them. Any thoughts? They also have a set that are adjustable up to 6 degrees, whatever that means.

6 degrees of camber alignment.

BTF (Brandon is a vendor here) makes Uniball set ups, and some are running them on here. They are a much better way to go, but are pricey. If you can afford it, by all means try them out. You could even talk to Brandon (BTF) and go over the pro's & con's of them.

Thanks Corkey! That's was the last thing I wanted to verify. Looks like you have plenty of clearance at the fenders. I'm all in now.

Thanks..lol Im far better with a wrench then a computer.

It has a Superlift 4 inch suspension lift, Fox Coilover RCD coilover conversion, and home made shackles on the back, no body lift, rust belt vehicle, bolts were too rusty to mess with,,
So i did some creative fender cutting ,

right on, i'd love for my truck to sit like that it looks killer man! the superlift system has 4'' knuckles right? i'd imagine you could by these sepretly from superlift, why arnt more people running them?

i don't know if they sell the knuckles separately or not.

but i think they did, but they were kind of costly,,
