Could someone show me a picture of what these are suppose to look like when detached from the truck?? The guy I bought the truck did some kind of custom LED setup with no wire harness anywhere connecting back into the truck from what I could see?? Lol.. One side is dead the other about dead and I want to convert it back to stock and just use direct plug-in LED bulbs instead but not sure what all I need to convert back to stock without seeing what stock looks like... Thanks!

They are just two wire deals into the rubber bulb holders exactly like the ones for your puddle lamps. Do you need a picture of the whole harness?

Check out LMC's catalog. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fex/full.aspx?Page=93

They each go into a 2 pin connector. I'd recommend just hardwiring something better than what you had and going with that. A 12" LED strip from a reputable LED product dealer like oznium would work quite well.

Awesome, thank you... Yeah... I dunno what he did? Lol.. it had NO wiring at all.. some little circuit board thing in the light and everything glued in and I saw a resister soldered in and what not... I'd have to replace both lamp houses and find out where the actual wires went (maybe down in the tailgate lol?)... I have 2 LED bulbs I thought I was going to be able to just snap on it but yeah.. I may end up needing to get the strip or something and just painting the lamp houses black and forget about them as it looks on that link you sent they don't even have them :-/

Where is it plugged in now? Either way. Like I said before, just get a waterproof 12" strip like this and stick it to the bottom inside edge of the cover for your tailgate handle. Or you can put a 6" strip on either side of the handle where the original lights sat, or you could just find some kind of small led modules like what Stic-O used on his JP rig. The superflux modules they have are similar to what he bought, though nowhere near as cheap, and not as bright. BUT, they would beat the factory lights in brightness, and you would have all the light you need to stay legal.

That's the thing.. the license plate lamp was not plugged into anything, lol... I look inside of it and its a little mini circuit board with a resistor and solder lol... I didn't look into it in great detail as it was dark out.. I plan to this weekend.. if it looks like more work than its worth I will use a strip or something as suggested. Thanks!
