2way-Alarm/remote start

i was looking to get a viper 791xv, but i wanted to know if there was something equal to it for cheaper or any other better ones i should look at first.

i've got the 691 which is the alarm without the remote start and i only paid 362 instaled....and i love it

I think viper's parent company sells the same product under different names and some are cheaper. Not sure what the names are at the moment but you can check the website. I would stick with the Directed electronic brands for a 2way alarm, I currently install alarms/car audio in a shop, and DEI (viper/clifford/ect) are the best of the best when it comes to the quality of the products, support, ease of install (the manual makes sense) I have a viper 791xv in my truck and love it though be warned that the 2 way remotes eat AAA batterys like there is no tomorrow if the truck is out of range of the remote (it will actively "search" for the signal from the alarm system)
