2WD-4WD how hard is it?

I have a 92 sport 2WD im thinking of converting it to 4WD. I've got my eye on a 94 4WD 4 door for the parts. mine is also standard and i want to put in the automatic trans. from the 94. is what i wana do gona work out? the only problem i can see for now is the reer drive shaft being to long for the 2 door.

Do a search for Kris Guilbeaux in the before & after or off road projects forum. He did the 4wd swap on a Navajo several years ago.

Look for some of Section525's threads. I think he did a 2wd to awd to 4wd on a second gen. Maybe that will help some.

If you do, you will learn to regret those words. You want to keep the 5-speed, trust me.

For the work, you might just wait for an AWD 2nd gen donor vehicle also. The V8 and 4R70W are worth hunting. Good luck,
