"98 XLT
Let start by saying, "I tried searching".
Now with that out of the way, I've got a "98 2WD 4dr XLT that i've already TT'd, added aal's and shackles. That did the trick for a while until I bought another F/S Bronco. I'm infected with Mod Pox, again.
I want to do a SOA which will give me another 5.5-6" in the rear correct?
That leaves me trying to figure out how to bring up the front end. I did read about the sloped b/l, but i'm not a real big fan of b/l's. I know i could get about 2.5-3" more with new tortion bar keys, or lift spindles, but the spindles have a habit of breaking, and then remove aal's and shackles. I'd like do do this w/o spending more than the truck is worth because I've already done that with my Bronco.
I've actually confused myself more than once try fo figure out what i should do. What do ya'll think?

ide say get rid of an AAL then spindles and do as much TT as possible.

the only bad part about spindles is that you have to use oem wheel offset, and i'm not real sure if i will have any clearance issues

thats not true....it's also very rare to see a spindle break like you said in your first post...with fabtech or pro comp you can use offset from 4.5" to 3.75" you might have to trim some plastic, but spindles would work fine
