2wd lift kit

I know that this topic probably has ben asked many times before but i just can not seem to find the product that will lift my 1997 mercury mountaineer at least 3 inch. i would like to go biger but would settle for that for know if you all could please point me in the right direactions i would be really thank full.

Welcome to the site. There are a few things you can do for 3 inches on a 2wd. They sell lift spindles. You can run a 3 inch body lift, and for the rear you can addd warrior shackles.

well do u know of the companys that make the spindles and how hard would it be to do a body lift on a suv like this i am a kinda guy that likes to do as much as possible him self

I'm not sure about the spindles. Fabtech? A body lift is pretty involved. It's definately possible to do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. A search of the term body lift might be helpful.

I have the Fabtech's they are great. They increase your track by .75'' per side. They seem to be much beefier than the Explorer Procomps. You may or may not need new rotors for this. I did because I have 12'' rotors on a 2001 Explorer Sport. If you have any more questions or would like some pics, just lemme know.

hey, do you think you could post some photos? Im curious to see what a 2001+ sport looks like with lift. Im acutally considering doing a 2wd instead of a 4x4 because i have done spindles before and i can just pull the lift kit out of my truck and use it.

I just bought an 01 and have been looking around for a lift kit but haven't had any luck! I checked Fabtech but didn't see anything- I'll re-check w/ the part number.

i was wondering if leafs from a 4wd would fit a 2wd sport

You know I hVe heard before that the 2wd spindle lift for 2 Ed rangers works
For the explorer. Is this true?
