check out tirerack.com, punch in your vehicle or tire size, and list your top priority in the search as noise. Then read the reviews buyers post about the tires you like.

Michelin LTX M/S. Mine were 60 miles short of 100,000 miles on them when I changed them a year ago. Quiet, good all-around tire, a little on the pricey side of the spectrum, but they lasted twice as long as many other cheaper options.

I would highly recommend NOKIAN VATIIVA, excellent wet.
I think there are also VATIIVA II more highway, but with the same haka sips
to shed water.

I am running a set of Kumho Solus KR21 on my 99 Sport...Quiet on the highway, 80000 mile rated tire, and 2 yr road hazard warranty from the mfg..

I bought mine through TR and ran over a multi spiked wood POS and it punched 3 holes in the sidewall.. I had to return the tire to TR but they returned the cost of the new tire to me..

Only put 2500 miles on them but they handle wet roads well and handling is quite good..Oh and the price was low as well...

My new fav!
Just bought (4) BFG Long Trail Tour 235/75/15

WOW!!! The new redesign is a great combo (listed as a M+S tire).
Low noise, great traction dry AND wet, 60,000 warranty, and low resistance roll.

Recommend them in a heartbeat... check them out!
