2wd Sport Lift Plan

I'm pretty sure I'd be fine with the 31"s no lift. I think with the slight lift I'm giving it (not the three inch I'm thinking about, but shackles, TT, and leaf pack) along with spacers I could run 33"s.

im not sure how much ive paid for the spacers, haddem for 4yrs on multiple vehicles. Is the aussie dependable at all?

Every forum I have came across about lockers, and every person I have talked too, all say that Aussie is a trusted brand and really give you results. I mean you could go with a powtrax which is I guess top of the line, but then again those are like $4-600 easily.

Depending on how your lifting wheel spacers could screw you a lil bit. with my 1"5/8 spacers now with 4" superlift and mild tt/shackle lift it loves to tear up my fenders on trails. if i had sway bars id tossem and enjoy no rub at all. Also i found a lock right for under 3 but everyone keeps talking up aussie. So im a little torn on what to pick up

Just depends on what you're willing to spend I guess. I hear lotta talk on Aussies, but then again powertrax is in the running as well. I'm sure you can find some dependable ones out there for reasonable cost.

Don't think 3" is possible with a tt, and shackles aren't a good idea (in my opinion) nor will they lift 3". Get 4 door leafs for the rear before anything else. Shift points should be ok, fix the speedo gear.
And be prepared to buy some ball joints.

i have a 2wd, and i got 3" exactly by doing a TT/shackle lift. i fit 33"s no problem, just a little trimming. 33's will effect your speedo, 31"s wont effect it enough to be noticeable. depending on your tranny, you may or may not be able to adjust the speedo with a gear tooth change.

Awesome. I'll look into getting the speedo back on track, but first I've gotta get the cash to get the shackles and leaf pack. Oh the fun of being a college kid. It's summer though, so job soon. Woot! Thanks for all the replies.
One more question. Say I do finally make it up to 33"s, what happens if I get a flat? I assume a stock spare won't do the job. Would a 33" fit in that spot? Or maybe a 31" so I can at least hobble back home slowly? lol

That is when you get a tire rack ;)
