Anyone done it or seen it done on a 3rd gen?
I noticed the other day that my 05 has the axle mounts with a tube connected that looks like its taking up the space that the front axle assembly should occupy.
Also the spindle/brake rotor area looks to have the splines that would accept a CV axle.
So unless I am missing something are all trucks built as they would be 4x4?
Parts list seems to be:
Front axle assembly
Transmission with transfer case (or just transfer case)
Wiring harness (if not already tucked up under the dash somewhere)
I have already found a few junkyards online that have some 4x4 3rd gens, just need to haggle a price.
Thoughts?
