how much $ ....3.73 to 4.10

I would like to change out my 3.73 gears with 4.10's.
What would be a reasonable price to do this on a 95 xlt 4x4

Usually about $1200.

Might as well wait until you get even larger tires and need to gear lower.

go 4.56 you wont regret it, especially if you plan to go off road.

I went from 3.73 to 4.10 and from 31" to 33" tires.

With an overdrive automatic tranny I should have gone 4.56........

OH well live and learn, trust me go 4.56

Dont get me wrong the 4.10 work great, but if you're gonna do it, go one more ratio..........

Labor:
I spent well over $700, but I also had my L/S rebuilt, and a used ARB tested/installed in the front pig....friends shop did the work. I also removed the front diff myself and delivered it to them out of the truck, this saved me some $$$as the TTB is a PITA. :)

Parts:
Dont skimp on the gears, I got Spicer 4.10 ring and pinion for the front Dana 35 TTB, and Precision 4.10 ring and pinion for the rear. Skip the MOTIV gears, they are junk (italian metal), installtion kits, new bearings and seals for the rear 8.8 and the front diff.......

Good luck! It;s worth every penny!!!

I have 32" bfg's on it now you think 4.56 would be good.
I never use overdrive now. Not even on the highway it is just too tall. But I do not plan on going any bigger.
What approx rpm would I be at with 4.56 with 32's.

Around 3100 @ 65 mph in third gear.

alec which one 4.10 or 4.56???

its all up to you now!!!!!!!!!!!

You asked about RPMs with the 4.56s, so that's what I answered.

I meant which one would you go with
4.10 or 4.56

Most 32" tires I have seen are either 31" in dia or closer to 33". regardless you will want 4.56.

Like stated above, with 4.56 gears and 32" tires you will stillrarley need overdrive, because like said above it is just to tall (no power). It's great for anything above 65 MPH, but only if its flat or downhill, otherwise 3rd gear is where the power is at.
Skip the 4.10, I am sure Alec will agree.......

Yup, it's not worth the money to go to 4.10, might as well stay with 3.73 if you don't want to jump to 4.56.

Thanks guys thats what i was looking for.
Sometimes I just need a kick in the a$$.
