This has definitely been asked a trillion times before. Someone just tell me what the hell to do because I'm 99% sure I got it right in my research, but I want a confirmed opinion please and thank you!

Currently have 3.73 gear in my 8.8
Running 31's.
V6 SOHC, stock motor, trans, all that.

Struggles up long hills, fine all of the rest of the time -- goal is 33's soon.

Re-gear to 4.10, yes? That's correct? Or higher? I've read 4.10 is okay for 33's on a V6 SOHC.

Trading fuel efficiency for ease of movement due to the scale of the rear axle being relatively "smaller" due to the larger gear?

Thanks!

Some say go with 4.10, some would recommend 4.56. I'd go with 4.10, you could swap another axle with that ratio in from a junk yard.
