2003 Sport Trac XLT
I recently purchased a 2003 Sport Trac XLT. I've been working through the list of little things that need attention on this old truck. Currently, I'm changing plugs and wires, but I can't get at the #3 plug because the A/C evaporator is in the way. Any suggestions for getting to that plug? Thanks.

Most remove the passenger tire and rubber splash guard to access #3 from below.

Preferred plugs are usually Motorcraft SP500, Autolite APP103, or XP103. Search.

Go through the passenger side wheel well. BTW that's not the A/C evaporator that's in your way. That's the accumulator/drier.

Thanks, guys. I had looked at the possibility of going through the wheel well, but it's nice to know for sure. Actually, the A/C drier is in front of #2 spark plug, and the big box in front of #3 is the evaporator. In the meantime, I'm working on the cam chain tensioner for the left bank. Sounds like a box of loose metal parts at times.

Bad news. The cam chain guide broke apart and is lying in pieces in the chain well. The hydraulic tensioner is extended as far as it can go. Is it possible to change out the cam chain cassette in-vehicle? This is for the left head.
