Ok first i would like to say, that yes i tried to search but this computer, the only one at my disposal to get on here is agonizingly slow and i couldnt bear waiting forever to get the search to work.
but now to my question:

i want to get this lift kit (http://www.ultimateautoaccessories.com/page/UAA/PROD/SS/70023)
but the product listing is for an 01-02 sport trac. now there is a sport trac in our garage, but it's not the one being lifted, it's my son's 2001 sport.
so would this lift still work for his?

and also, when its lifted we want to put on some 285/75-16 tires,
but our question is would those even fit on a stock 16x7" rim?

Thanks for the help,
John, Sr. (and Jr.)

My understanding is the Sports and Sport Tracs have larger wheel well openings allowing for bigger tires. Since you are dealing with a larger opening the 33's should fit fine with a BL. I am not up on body lifts, but I believe the kit you want is the PA 883. You can also do a spindle lift for the front lift.

I have the same size tires on stock 16x7 wheels, they fit no problem.

Here is a link:

BTW, the search is a button in the link bar at the top, not PC related.

oh thanks that'll save me some serious time!
if you could answer one more question then, does this lift encompass both the front and the rear? i noticed you said i could also do a spindle lift for the front, and with my limited knowledge of lifts (since i have never lifted a vehicle before) that confused me as to whether the PA883 lifted both ends.
thanks for answering my rather ignorant questions with such patience!

ah okay thank you again then.

i think the plans settling into place are going to be to get the BL first, then the tires, and then shackles and a TT or spindles after that for some extra clearance.

he might have to settle with his little tires on a 3" lift for a while while i get some 31s on my sport trac first tho ;)

You might want to look around for another place to get the body lift from. That price seems like $100 more than what I've seen it other places...

whoa really, 100 bucks? do you by any chance have a link where i could find it for near that much?

the cheapest i could find it for was 159 at performancelifts.com

Humm, I have seen them around here for less than that, but that may have been second hand. :dunno:

The weird thing is when I searched Google, the first two hits were for this site. :D

If you don't get in a hurry, you can find a better deal, I'm sure.

Well, a couple years ago, they were around $100, the past year or so they have gone up to around that $150-170 range.
