3156 blew out my fuses

i installed a pair of 3156 back up light bulb 50w. it worked the 1st day. then it blew out my 15 amp fuse. also, my auto lock does not work anymore. the one that locks when i shift my gear. i chewck all the fuses and only one that is blown is the 15 amp that goes to the back up light. i tried 20 amp but it blew too. any idea?????????

go back to the stock bulb...

well, besides going tback to stock. i know some of u guys in here uses the 50w light. any problem? imcrease the amp on the fuse?

just use a xenon charged 3157 bulb. or add reverse lights

Sounds like there is something wrong with the bulb or socket. The 20 amp fuse is fine for the extra wattage .
You got something shorting out the circut.

everything worked fine for the 1st day when i installed the bulb. the next day i realize that the biulb was burn, the rear defogger was out, and the auto lock mechanism when i shift the gear was out. i thihk it is all in the same fuse. anything like this ever happen to anyone hlse here?
