will 31x10.50R15's fit on my stock 95XLT? i was told by national tire and battery that they wouldn't and a local 4x4 shop said they would be tight but i could get them on. does anyone have any suggestions for what to do. if i need a lift, what should i get? i'm also thinking about super swamper SSR's does anyone know anything about them?

I have 31s and they never rub. Some can fit them, some can't. There has been many posts about this before if you want to search for them.

I would go to the shop and ask them to do a trial run. Get the tires on and drive around, making sure to turn hard over in both directions, and if you can go over some sort of bump or hill to see if it will rub on the fenders. If they fit keep them, if they rub take it back to the shop and get smaller ones.

Yes, 31x10.5's will fit a stock 95 Explorer. The only problems fitting that size has been with the older body style (94 and older).

I second the motion.

I know you have a 95 but I put 31's on my 91 EB 4X4, no lift, on stock rims and they work just fine. No rubbing and they look great.
