it is possible if they make a mud terrain tire to fit a 22 in rim. To fit that comfortably you will need to do what Roadbully did, a 3in coil spring and a 3in body.
ya i was gonna plan on doing a 6 inch lift with 33x12.5x22 mud terrains with 3 inch wheel spacers... i think it would look badass but i dont think thye make the wheels i want

I think it will be hard to find a 33" mud tire for a 22" rim. I know that there is a few different 33" mud tires for a 20" rim. I say go for it. I plan to do a 32" tire with a 18" rim. It is not the same but I can't find a wide enough tire in a smaller rim size that I like.
If you buy a negative offset rim, you won't need wheel spacers.
But a 33" mud tyre for a 22" rim - I doubt they even make one. Most 4WD tyres stop at 17" or 18" - after that (ie 19" to 24"), you effectively have "sports" (road) tyres.
Mud tires for 20s are going to be 35s and larger, but I doubt you are going to find any for 22s. BFG makes a 285/55R20 A/T which would be about 32.3x11.2.

Toyo makes an Open Country M/T in a 33x12.50x20
Nitto makes a Mud Grappler in a 33x12.50x20
Michey Thompson makes a Baja MTZ & a Baja Claw in a 33x12.5x20
So companies do make a mud tire for 20s in smaller than 35s
