you dont have to re gear. but if you wanna go with 4.10s just find a donor vehicle in the junkyard ans swap diffs. i run 4.10's withh 33's and get 18-20 mpg

im runnin 33's with 3.73 limited slip and i get 14 mpgs...my under drive pulley is on the way im hopin it gives me a lil improvement...and yes it is gonna strain your tranny...i want my 4.10's :(

how do you swap diffs, wouldnt i just have to swap axles? then id be better off just doing sas?

what do the 33's rub on if you dont do any trimming and just use the tt and shackles? ive heard of people stuffing them under there

mine wont stuff anymore with AAL and shackles. But my rear springs are sagged out badly. Id just do both, its still cheap and easy and will look better with the 3" of lift versus just 1.5.

I'm running 33s and 3.73s LS. I had to trim the front fenders and remove the running boards to get them to not rub. They didn't rub after I removed the running boards but were so dangerously close to the fenders in turns (about 1 inch or less of clearance) than I needed to trim to prevent them catching in a dip or over a bump.

As for sluggishness and gas mileage, I'm not sure what my city mileage is, but I'm guessing it's single digit considering I get about 13 highway. If I drive like a granny (right lane, 5 below the speed limit trying not to break 2,000 RPMs) I can get maybe 15-17 highway. As for the acceleration, I don't think it's that big of a deal at all. If you realize you aren't driving a race car and you aren't trying to smoke ricers at red lights, it's fine.

maybe if you have a shop do it and include the price of tires.

Even if you do it yourself, before tires, I believe it will cost a few grand in parts.

yeah i want to do the lift but i figured gas mileage is real bad and i have to drive back down to florida in august, but one of my tires blew out so ihave to replace them now. id hate to buy new tires now and then again later when i put the lift on.
