33x11.5x 17" on a 2gen?

Has anyone used 285/70/17 (33 x 11.5 x 17) tires on a 2nd gen? i suck at math and specially speaking on english lol, on the sticky topic i found is, that size should be similar to a 33x12.5x15", am i correct? if that the case, then i should be able to fit that tire with a 2 inch body lift and 2-3 inch suspension lift or a 3-4 inch suspension lift.

Can anyone confirm? any help would be awesome , thanks a lot guys!

The rim size doesn't change the overall dimensions of the tire, so whether a 33 is on a 17" rim or a 15" rim, it's still 33" in diameter. The tire you want is not as wide as the one mentioned in the sticky thread, so you should be okay. Just be sure to regear your axle(s) if you run 33's.
