So I recently bought some bfg 31x10.5 that i mounted on rock crawlers. i wanted to go bigger so i found 2 bfg 33x12.50 that have about 80% of the tread left. They are mud/snow tires not all terrain. If i can only find two all terrains should i mounted the mud/snow on the rear and all terrains on the front? vice versa?? i have no idea, i need all your help!!!! Thanks in advance.

Colin.

Not such a good idea :( if you have a four wheel drive and lock it in and hit something solid it may tear some things up

Nope. Think of it this way. You have 3.73's in the front, and 4.10's in the rear. What happens when your truck shifts into 4x4....you break a tranfer case.

ok i have to re-phrase. I want to put 33" all terrains on the front and 33" mud terrains on the rear. it would look stupid to have the big wheels in the back and the small wheels in the front. sorry about the confusion. my main question is if the tires are all the same size if the mud terrains should go in the back and all terrains in the front or the other way around?

oh. Mud terrians on the back. You always put the more aggressive tread on the rear, be it a RWD or FWD.

sweet thanks. now i just have to find two 33" front tires. if anyone has got some let me know.

Ah if you were closer i would give you my two 33's for free, They are dayton timberline At's with about 80% tread left. it does have some very very minor dry rot. If you really want em, you can pay shipping and i'll send em to you in mid December when i get home.

how much are we talking for shipping? I would be willing to wait since I need to buy a 3 inch body lift anyway. Is the tire size 33x12.5r15?

oh one question '97 v8, how much of a pain is that pa-853 body lift to actually install?

Well the instructions fail to mention some things you have to do. You need to unhook the fan shroud and you need to grind down the little hump on the steering shaft.

What does grinding down the hump do? Because i put mine on and only when i turn at full lock something is making my break pedal stiffer.

so its do-able in a weekend? I have installed all the mods I have done on my car myself. I think I could handle it, or do I not know what I'm getting myself into?

I did mine in a weekend, its do-able
