Yes, it will work if they are 15x8, but I am almost positive that all stock wheels on 1st gen(91-94) explorers are 15x7.

BTW - Welcome to the site, maybe I'll see you around town since there's only a couple of lifted explorers.

Stock wheels are 15x7 and I wouldn't run 33s on anything smaller than a 15x8. 15x10s are ideal for a 33x12.5 imho. :p

Yes, but possibly watch for "crowning" on the tires.
the centers may wear prematurely, due to the narrow rim unless you drop air pressure a bit.

just my opinion, not an expert!
:D :D :D

33's on 15x8's will be fine. That's what I'm running, as well as about a million other people on this board.

Yep, like they said.^

Shiny, trim the sig dude! 6 lines max at 800x600. Your sig is not the place to whine about a shop.

Haha, I sent him a PM literally seconds before you posted that giving him a heads up before the moderators saw it.

its not the diameter, but the width that may be the problem.
33x10.5 is fine, but what about the 12.5's?

I realize that. I was referring to a 12.5" wide tire, not a 10.

The only reason I was asking about 12.5's is because I am having the hardest time finding 10.5's. As far as the wheels go I have the sticker that came in the window that says wheels cast alum. (deep dish), the only deep dish that I know that ford put out was a 14x8 and a 15x8. I maybe wrong. But Thanks for the help and this great site. Hope to see you around to bmxking 5, I work in lawrenceville and live in dacula.

If you really want 10.5's, just order them from thetirerack.com. Tons of choices for tires.
