What years did ford build a fuel injected 351? I'm talking about the one that is basicly a stroked 302/5.0. Is this the Windsor? Are the 351W and the 5.8L engine the same? Any idea what I can pull one out of?
Don't know the years of the fuel injected engine, but Full Size broncos and f-150's, I think at least 88 or so to 96 have them, at least some do, some have 5.0(302) and some have a v6.
Well, I doubt it'll help but dad pulled a 460 out of a 74 Lincoln. If ya want it Ill sell it! And we got a 400 in a '78 F250 Ranger, so something along that line maybe.
the 351 w is a longer strok than the 302 and it has a longer deck(dun) and i don't think it was till 89 that they can with fuel inj. the 351 is a fare bit taller than the 302 and i is very hard to get them to fit ouder the hood of and explorer if thats what you are doing??? if so i would get a 302 and a strocker kit for it and you can punch them out to 347 and it will fit a lot better.and to find an old 351w just find an 89 or newer f-150+ bronco, cron vic(cop car) the 351w and the 5.8 are the same in newer cars (mid 80s up cause older there is the 351m and the 351c o ya the 400m is the same size as the 351m and very close to the 351c but not the same)hahahahehe chew on that
