I ordered two for the rear from 4 Wheel Wholesale. I needed a set of "Weekend Tires" and since I won't be running them on the street often I got the most aggressive tires I could find. I was considering the "Claws" but after I saw the 35's that were only 32's I changed my mind. After the whole in my pocket heals, I'm going to purchase a set of 38x11 for the front. I like the idea of "Fat" in the rear and "Skinny" in the front. A 1 inch difference in hieght wont be noticed when I'm aired-down and off road. Wish me luck in making them fit!

Damn.. those are big boogers.

Uh, well, I'll wish ya luck for the getting them to fit, because somethin tells me, it's gonna take alot.....Do you really expect the dana 35 ttb to hold up in the front, or do you plan to do a dana 44 swap?
Good luck!
Post pics once it's all set up.

That is gonna look GREAT! Be sure to put up some pics.
Do you know the actual dimensions?

They'll have to FIT!

The 35" Mickey-T's fit well with, what appears to be, plenty of clearance. I've pushed it hard off road and there is no contact (it took some "trial-n-error" with the Sawz all). I may have to trim a little in the rear and the Bush Wacker flares should cover everything up.
The Dana 35 should be alright. It has the larger U.joints (like the 44) and with the V6 and auto tranny I think the Diff will be fine. The auto tranny acts as a hydraulic cushion, with the exception of high RPM nuetral-drops. HA! Ha!
The actual size for the 38.5x11 are 38x? while the actual size for the 37's weren't listed. I wish I had the money (nerve) to purchase all 4. I would have saved $120.00 (package DEAL!)if I had. Yes, I need to get a scanner.

THERE HERE and there on

I received and had them mounted and ballanced. With the cost of ballancing here, I could have baught rims and got the free mounting and ballancing from the store. I had to pay $35 a tire for ballancing and new rims would have only cost me $39. Oh well! Live and learn. Plus, I found that one of the tires is out-of-round and can't be ballanced. I'm working the warranty right now. I ran the X on a ramp to check for tire contact--none to report (SMILE!). The new 37's are 3" taller that the 35" MTX's. I'll have to get some pictures to Ya soon.

4WheelParts are OK!

4WPW is sending me a new tire-free shipping and will pay 1/2 the cost for ballancing. I should be Booging shortly!!!

Lets see some pics.Should look good.

I hope....

<<<<Damn.. those are big boogers.>>>>>

I hope to God he's talking about tires.....

i am having problems trying to imagine this i want to see pics i can't wait to see it

I know you meant boggers, but I can't resist sharing this mental picture... 35" Boogers on the truck... Anyone have a 8'x8' Kleenex? :-)

OK! OK! Boggers!

Boogers, Booggers. BOGGERS--YEH Baby! My son laughed long-&-hard about the Huge Kleenex. I'm waiting for my replacement tire and I want to go Boogering/Bogging on the 14th.

two different size tires, interesting. i don't think i like the sound of that. usually when you see different size tires, it's b/c the guy is just peicing together whatever he finds. also, do you know what a 38x11 tire looks like? might what to reconisider you choice. to be honest, it's gonna look kinda stupid and be noticable by those who know what they are talking about. also, your drivetrain is set up w/ the same gearing for a reason. it's to turn the same size tire at the same rate. it would be like running 3.73's in the rear and 4.10's in the front. i'm sure not that drastic, but you get the idea. i'm trying not to bash your opinion, b/c everybody is entitled to their own, but there are reasons why people use the same size tires. -russel

russel when aired down it is not noticable nor is it going to rip up everything but i would still go with the same size and go down to a 36 12.50 because there is no way a 38 is going to tuck

i didn't think it would, but it's just a something to ponder.

Good opinions

I'm going with the Skinny tire infront because tire clearance while turning is an issue. I want to stay with an 8" rim infront (tucks the tire under and provides a lot more clearance at the rear of the well than the same tire with a 10" rim). I thought about mounting 37x13 on the 8 and it would tuck under nicely but I stikll think the 38x11 will fit better. I'm going to be running the 37 in the rear and my old 35's in the front on Easter. I'll have to drop to around 6 psi (questimate)to lower the rear.

I am new to the Explorer stuff, but not to Bronco's. Rocky, good choice running a narrower tire up front. I think you will get much better steering (Off-road! except the sand)out of a 11.50 or narrower tire depending on the tire height. I am also recommending also to stay with the same height. 1" difference Big maybe! Also running over a 36" tire in a heavy Bronco TTB/D44 is putting it in, over what my club members say is our experience factor for breakage! Remember, the dead weght out on that spindle can break stuff as I'm sure you know. Good luck! Ps The 8.8 should be fine.

It's Here and It's On!

I recieved my replacement tire today. It's amazing how slow things get when doing a return. It only took 3 days to get my tires originally from Cal, but when they sent me my replacement, it took 15 days to arrive from Fl (where I live). Oh well. Good news is that the new tire ballanced OK! I'm going to run them for a week to make sure they're OK then I'll put my MTX's back on.
I wish I had them last Saturday for the trail ride at Inverness State Forest. The X did realy well and yes, it shamed quit a few Unlocked Jeeps. With the X's wheel base and size it does really well under most conditions. Only thing is, even we (FLorida) don't have any MUD. I got the Boggers but no mud to feed them!

I think it would look cool to have a 39.5 by 15 swampers in the front and some mean 39.5 by 18 boggers in the rear. then it would be the same tire size, but just wider in the rear.

Like a Roller skate

Oknut; That's a lot of tire! I'm a little reluctant about the 38's because of over-taxing the drive drain. I promised myself years ago that I wouldn't go any larger than 33x9.5 but I just can't stop! The tires just keep getting bigger and bigger. I NEED HELP!
