Is it possible to not remove the CV shaft when doing the lowers on a 4x4? I don't need uppers, just lowers and was wondering if there was room to work leaving the CV shaft in the hub?

Thanks....Dan

I haven't tried it on an explorer but from past experiences I am going to say no. Very good chance the CV joint is going to hit the control arm before you are able to slip the knuckle off the lower ball joint.

One bolt. Just remove it.

I was just wondering because my torque wrench doen't go high enough to torque that nut back on. Oh well, looks like a new torque wrench is in order.
