Hoping for some new ideas. Have an '06 Explorer with a 4.0 193,347 miles that started missing, and has no power when under a load. When this happens I get a P0300, P0304, P0305, and a P0306. So far i have put a coil pack, plugs, wires and injectors in it(figured it needed them with the mileage), with improvement. When all this happens it sounds like a clicking coming out of the back of the engine.

I took a recording with ForScan and O2 sensor 2 on bank 2 is doing funny things, like it does not follow the readings of the other 3 sensors. Also shows the engine at 100% load under light throttle and 0 EGR.

I am thinking that I have a bad O2 sensor or plugged cats. I am going to switch the rear O2 sensors and see what happens in the recording.

Anyone have any other ideas? Or has anyone had similar problems?

If the sound is the back passenger side your chain could have jumped time causing a miss but I would think it would be terribly noisy. You might try the sensor and see if the readings improve. It's weird that you have that many cylinders misfiring check firing order and plug wires before anything.

Edit: if you check 02 readings after misfiring I would expect 02 readings to be off

I thought the same thing with all 3 cylinders missing. I've checked and rechecked the wires, and they are in the right spots. I was getting the same codes before I did any work to the engine.

Under light throttle or no load, it acts a little under powered but there are no codes, missing, or noises.
