I am soon going to replace my timing chain tensioner on the jackshaft. can the chain and sprockets be replaced without disturbing the timing or should i just do the tensioner and guide? the reason i ask, i have already done this once and it did cure the rattle for about 4 or 5 months but now it is back maybe i was gouging it to much but this time i have got a ford tensioner if it makes a difference, and would like to replace the chain and sprockets, but i am thinking the one sprocket also drives the cam, is this correct?:rangergreen:

If you don't unloosen the bolts on the camsor the balance shaft then the chains wont move timing. Have you replaced the plastic guides yet? Don't forget you have a chain with plastic guides on the back of the motor as that could be whats making noise.
