i think he means LPG liquified petroleum gas
here it is about 60c per litre petrol=$1.10 per litrein aussie$

We have a 91 4x4 XLT purchased new in 90 with 400,000 kms on the clock. Stock V6 but with 5 spd manual tranny, engine is original and not rebuilt...yet....

When new on the hiway I could squeek 600 km on a tank of gas, with the average being 500 km city/hiway.

Now that old age has set in, with noise top end and oil consumption if I baby it on the hiway we get about 500 km and city hiway drops to around 400-450 kms. This btw is my winter beater so the cold weather may also be a big factor.

Ok OZexplore
my point is, here the GLP cost 1.20 Usd/Galon
and the gasoline cost:
2.01 Usd/galon..... the regular (87)
2.11 Usd/galon .... the "super" (95)
2.51 Usd/galon.....the premium (98)

Here in Paraguay we have three types of gasoline
the regular and the super have alcohol at 15%
The premiun is free of this 15% of alcohol

I think that you will agree that 2.01 Usd/galon is to expensive, 2.11 or 2.51 Usd/galon is just a crazy price.
GLP is a economic alternative.
And my engine works wery well.

i checked my new 97 sohc and i had gotten 19 mpg with 70% city driving. then i took a 65 mile trip and got 24.5 mpg on 100% highway

01 Sport, 34000 miles, 3.73 open:mad: , K&N drop-in, Apten burned for 92, Flowmaster Non-Delta 40 Series.

80% city driving, hardly see less than 20 mpg, and I drive pretty crazy. Coming back from spring break, (South Padre Island, Tx -- Tucson, AZ) I saw at times 25+ mpg when cruising at 70-75, although it was hard to do this with the apten and no speed limiter. For kicks and giggles I drove about 200 miles with the cruise set at 100, and got 12 mpg.

no mods to my 2001 sport as of yet......

i was averaging 16-18 mpg all city untill recently where it has dropped to 14. anyone know whats going on, because my driving habits have not changed.

37k miles

98 Limited. The computer says ~16.2, but I haven't verified it yet. 100% city, and the wife drives harder than me.

14 mpg ... probably 80% city and 20% highway.

I bought the 6cyl. thinking it would get decent mpg but I regret not getting V8 now.

Updated mileage from 2200 Km trip..

I've been averaging 14 Mpg around the City and I am very pleased with getting 19 Mpg on a 5 day road trip through the rockies. Lots of hills and I was driving 10% over the speed limit the majority of the time ( I know kind of wussy but I hate traffic fines, not that I haven't had my share in my youth LOL )..
