4.0 Tranny bolt pattern

Hello:

Does anyone have the transmission bolt pattern dimensions for the 4.0? Can't seem to find them anywhere.

All I can tell you is that the bellhousing has 8 bolts. The top 2 and bottom 2 are pretty much the same distance apart, maybe 4-6 inches. I have never seen a diagram of the pattern.

I'm about to pull the tranny next weekend to replace the slave cylinder and upgrade the shift rail plugs. Would you like me to measure them?

Here ya go. Yes this includes the Explorer..

Doesn't give all the bolt hole dimensions but it's a start.

Maybe you can do a little research on the casting number for more info.. ..
