I was wondering which engine would better to have for an ex and which one is more fuel efficient [knock on wood haha].replies are greatly appreciated

get the v8, hands down. The power and mileage is similar on both, but the v8 is much more reliable. Look for a 98-01.

V8. You will only take a 1-2 mpg hit and the extra power and reliability are well worth it. Flush the radiator, change the thermostat and keep the oil fresh and the 5.0 will run forever.

my v8 gets better gas mileage than my v6.. even when it wasnt lifted
