Yea, been there done that!!

Just talked to a local tranny shop known to be pretty reputable. For $130 they’ll do a full diagnoses & tell me what’s wrong. Told them about the donors car & they’re fine with just diagnosing it for me.

I’ll do some checking myself this weekend & see if I need to have them diagnose.

Whatever you do if you install the 97 transmission into your 98 make sure you keep your 98 digital transmission range sensor
The 97 is analog
The 98 is actually digital

It just unbolts from the trans as installed / aligned with the shift linkage in neutral
