4.0L V6 Engine Leaking / Burning Fluid

I was driving my wife's Explorer today and when I got home there was mild smoke and a burning smell. Here is a picture of the location of the source (or so it seems). I'm not familiar with her engine. Can anyone help me diagnose this problem and maybe a bit of direction in how to proceed with the repair? Thank you in advance.

The section where the black bolt is located is where the smoke is coming from. The bolt that is almost dead center in the middle of the highlighted circle.

Your thermostat housing is leaking! Common problem as its made of plastic.

That would make sense as the heat would only blow cold air a mile or two away from home. Thank you for the fast response.
