The 4 wheel drive went out the same time as my cruise control on my '01 sport trac. I get no lights when I move my four wheel drive switch. I have checked the fuses and they seem good. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Lou

Those two functions have two fuses in common. Check carefully fuse F2.10 and F2.11 . That's fuse 10 & 11 in the CJB fuse box under the dash.

4x4 Fuses: Battery junction box: (BJB) fuse 13 (20A), Central junction box: (CJB) fuse 10 (7.5A), CJB fuse 11 (7.5A), CJB fuse 35 (15A)

Speed Control: Battery junction box: (BJB) maxi-fuse: 10 (15A), Central junction box: CJB fuse 9 (7.5A), CJB fuse 10 (7.5A), CJB fuse 11 (7.5A) & CJB fuse 13 (15A)

Below is the CJB.

fuses good

I checked all the fuses with meter and cleaned up tips to be sure. There is no #10 BJB fuse. The owners manual says no fuse and there isn't one.

If its not the fuses what could it be. It is possible I guess that the two aren't related but they should happened on the same day.

Thanks,

Herman

The factory manuals and reality sometimes don't match .

Going on the assumption that they may not be related I'd say do the disconnect/reconnect the 4WD module several times (behind the right kick panel) and see if it makes any difference. Second, Jumper the cruise switch on the master cylinder and see if the cruise goes to working. Has it had the cruise recall done?
