Hello,
A while back I found out the controltrac in my X isn't engaging power to the front driveshaft (auto-mode or manually switching to 4hi/lo). So I've kept my eyes peeled for a 1354m and front driveshaft to swap out. The stock 4405 will still run low range to the rear end which has me thinking: is it possible to pair up these two trans cases for a lower crawl gear? I know I would have to do things like clock the 4405 differently, run longer/shorter driveshafts, and modify the shift linkage. Has anyone else attempted this, or am I just crazy?
