4r44e od servo problem

After reading several threads my son is having more problems with2-3 flare and now delay engagement in drive and reverse. So already replaced valve body complet (new). Now recommended replacing od and im servos and new viton orings for the reverse servo. My problem is after depressing the cover and removing the snap ring the cover will not come of . Sprayed with penetrating oil but it wll not budge.Anybody have a similar scenario and any advice how to get it off.I am hoping that it is a good sign that maybe spring is shot or gasket dried and piston doesnt move freely and that is the problem with the tranny. What i tried was to tighten the band so maybe it would work it itself out but no go.

Have you tried pushin in on the servo cover? I was lucky enough to get those suckers out when I had the VB dropped. There was a little access space where I could stick the pick in and push the servo free. Remember, PB Blaster is your best friend- WD40 is your fake friend ;]
