4R44E Rebuild?

hi well im sorta lost, i have a 96 ranger with a 4R44E transmission. now the thing is that the oil cooler line broke in my radiator, and water went into the transmission. i sorta fixed it but now when i put oil into the transmission, it just leaks out. so ive decided to take it down and rebuild it. but while looking for how to rebuild it all i find is things on the A4LD. now after some reading i find that the A4LD and 4R44E are basically the same. i wana try and do the rebuid in one weekend. question is. can i follow the A4LD diary? or has somoene already done a thread or a follow thru on the 4R44E? that i can use on my rebuild??? thanks if you need ask any questions. ill reply. need to work! lol :roll:

Follow the A4LD diary for the rebuild, and the 5R55E valve body rebuild diary for the valve body.

Thanks for the guides. but i made a call to a friend, and he pointed me in right way. and while searching i found something i will post on here. i think it will help all the people with 4R44E transmissions.
