4r70w pump seal fix or rebuild?

My 2000 mountaineer's transmisskon front pump seal is leaking, the transmission has about a 130k on it. Works fine. But if I have to drop it to replace gasket, I was wondering if its worth just fixing it or rebuild it while its out. What would you recomend doing. I was just geting ready to install a shift kit.and I noticed it started leaking. Would it be good just to fix seal.

Here is a pic after I installed a new seal into my new/used 4r70w for my 98 mountaineer 5.0. Go ahead and replace the 5.0 rear main seal while you are at it. Oh and first post for me, so I wanted to say that I am glad to be here.

Was it pretty easy to replace. The kit I found has a gasket a seal and a o ring.

I only replaced the converter seal that you could see in the pic. That seal is super easy. I would not worry about the outer pump seal o-ring.

Heck no removing the trans was a pita. My truck had been in the salt and heavy mud so several bolts had to be broken and drilled/taped.
