- 01 Ranger XLT 4X4
Hello everyone,
Looks like a lot of useful info on this site! I have read many posts on this issue but wanted to make sure I am traveling down the right path before I shell out some hard earned money.
I have a 01 Ranger 4x4, recentley replaced the battery about 3 months ago. Just started snowing here and it will not engage the 4 wheel drive now. None of the lights in the dash will light up when started, or when the key is turned on. When I flip the switch to 4 HI, no lights or the usual click noise. The switch also goes straight over to 4 LO also, I am thinking it had to be in nuetral for it to move that far, also no light in that position also. The fuse seems to be alright becasue the OD light comes on and off.
Am I right in thinking that I need to order a Control Moduel for this? Thanks in advance for your help. I just hate giving my dealer a bunch of money to tell me this is what it is.
Thanks
Kevin
